Cheney has said that he regards his job as a trustworthy yet discreet advisor to the Bush administration. Cheney stated that, after he was accepted as the Republican nomination for vice president, he looked forward to working alongside a President who will work across political lines to achieve goals and will cooperate with opposition members in confidence. Richard Bruce Cheney, son of Richard Herbert Cheney & Marjorie Lauraine Dickey was born on the 30th of January, 1941 at Lincoln Nebraska. When Richard Bruce Cheney was 13, he and his family relocated from Lincoln Nebraska to Casper Wyoming in the state where his father worked for his position as the head of U.S. Department of Agriculture's local soil conservation districts.
